March is by far the most important month of the Irish calendar because of St Patrick’s day. And of course, SEDA College will celebrate it with our students. Check out below the activities calendar of March and take advantage of the extra classes to further enhance your English skills:

IRISH CLASS:

The language of this month is Irish and there’s no need for further explanations. Make sure you will enjoy the opportunity of learning the second official language of Ireland with a native speaker. The classes will take place on Friday 1st and 15th at 4:30 pm in room 14.

PREPOSITION CLASS:

“In”, “on”, “at”. Prepositions are definitely one of the students’ biggest fears, no matter which level of English they are. That’s why we decided to run some preposition classes again this month. The classes will take place on Friday 1st, 8th, and 22nd at 4:30 pm.

PORTUGUESE COURSE:

This is the second month of our Portuguese course and all we have to say is that this time it comes with loads of new things, such as new expressions, idioms, grammar structures and so on. Don’t miss out on the chance to learn this incredible language. The classes will be on Tuesday the 5th and the 12th at 4:30 pm in room 14.

JOB INTERVIEW WORKSHOP:

If you are interested in getting some important tips on how to behave in your future job interviews, this workshop is perfect for you. Now all of our career-related classes will be run by a new teacher, who is Irish and has a consultancy company here in Dublin. This class will be on Friday 8th at 4:30 pm in room 26.

VOLUNTARY WORK DAY:

This time our voluntary work day will be on Saturday 9th. As usual, students who are interested in attending this voluntary day should write their names on the list at reception. It’s good to point out that those who attend it will get a certificate. Save the date: March 9th at 9 am outside SEDA.

AMERICAN COLLEGE DUBLIN MEET UP:

Are you thinking about applying for a college here in Dublin? What about having the chance to study at one of the best universities in Ireland and have your certificate recognized in Europe and also in the United States? That’s why we are organizing this meeting. Come and have a chat with one of their representatives. This meetup will be in room 26 at 4:30 pm on Monday 11th.

WRITING FOR THE WEB:

If you are interested in content creation, online tools, SEO, this workshop is perfect for you. Don’t miss out on the chance to have a meeting with a professional who works for one of the best and the most important companies in the world. This workshop will be on Wednesday 13th at 4:30 pm in room 26. Don’t forget to bring your computers.

SOCIAL MEDIA BRANDING WORKSHOP:

Social media is definitely part of everybody’s everyday life, also academically and professionally speaking. This workshop is aimed to help students to boost up their social media and to further promote themselves on social media such as LinkedIn, for example. So don’t miss out on the chance to boost your social media. This workshop will be in room 26 at 4:30 pm on Friday 15th.

JC CONSULTANCY MEET UP:

If you are looking for professional orientation and also a person to help you out finding a job, this meeting is perfect for you. It will be in the student lounge at 4:30 pm on Wednesday 27th.

BARISTA COURSE:

Our very traditional barista course returns on March 28th. If you are interested in attending this course, go to reception and book up your place. The cost of the course is € 25 (twenty-five) and you have to pay for it before the day of the course. The first part is the theory and the second part is the practice. At the end of the course, you will get a certificate from the teacher and also a certificate from the school. Go for it!

These are the main activities of March. Apart from them, we will also have our traditional extra classes such as conversation class, grammar class, pronunciation class among others. Check the calendar and make the most of them. Happy St Patrick’s month.
