GENERAL ENGLISH
SEDA College currently runs general English courses at Beginner, Elementary, Pre Intermediate Intermediate, Upper Intermediate, and Advanced levels. Every classroom has two teachers per day and each of them will focus on teaching different aspects of the language, using different materials. You’ll be able to track your evolution through our weekly tests, followed by a progress test every six weeks.

LEVELS
Before your induction on the Friday before the start of your course, you will complete a test to check your level of English. You will also complete a speaking test at induction. You will then be informed when you will start. All students start classes on Monday.
Our Beginner course is designed for people who have never studied English before. These students study for the TIE exam several times a week. If you have never attended an English school before, this might be the course for you. We will take you through all the basics, from using the present and past simple tenses to ordering a pint of beer in a pub!
Students at this level study for the TIE exam several times a week. They also complete the exam in SEDA at the end of their course. The TIE exam is based on projects and speaking.
Students at this level study twice a week in the second half for the Cambridge PET exam. They do the exam at the end of their course. The exam usually costs €145.

Students at this level can use fluently spoken English in both professional and social contexts. They have an excellent basis from which to work towards proficiency. This course will increase students’ confidence by expanding their knowledge of both vocabulary and complex grammatical structures.
