TERMS and CONDITIONS
Follow our Terms and Conditions to have the best experience with SEDA. Here you can get to know what we expect from you as a SEDA student and see our rules about our courses, teachers, and activities.
Before applying, please read our Terms:
1. Enrolment and Payment
Your completed enrolment form must be submitted alongside full payment for the course. Please note that course fees do not include registration or examination fees unless specifically confirmed by SEDA in writing.
All Awarding Body Registration & Examination fees must be paid to the administration at the time of course payment. Participation in these fees is a mandatory requirement for enrolment; students who do not settle these fees will not be eligible for admission.
2. Academic Requirements
- All students are required to complete a Placement Test to determine their English level.
- Students must attend all scheduled English classes, participate in mock and final examinations, and submit written coursework as requested by their teachers.
- For visa compliance, all full-time courses are delivered over a minimum of 15 hours per week, in accordance with Department of Justice (ISD) guidelines.
3. Contractual Agreement
By accepting an offer from SEDA and completing payment, a student enters into a formal contract with the College for the duration specified in the Letter of Enrolment (from commencement to completion date).
4. Timetable Adjustments
While we strive to maintain consistent schedules, SEDA reserves the right to adjust student timetables due to unforeseen circumstances. SEDA is not liable for any such changes, and no compensation or refunds will be provided in the event of a timetable modification.
5. Conduct and Visa Compliance
SEDA reserves the right to suspend or expel any student who fails to fulfill their visa requirements or engages in disruptive behavior. In such instances, no refund of fees will be granted.
6. Immigration and External Bodies
- ISD/GNIB Regulations: International students are responsible for complying with all Irish Immigration (ISD) regulations. Further details are available from our administration team or the official ISD website.
- Professional Institutes: Where applicable, students must obtain a certificate of eligibility from the relevant professional body and pay any external registration fees directly to that institution.
- Your completed enrolment form must be submitted with the full payment for your course. Please note that your course fees do not include registration or exam fees unless specifically notified by SEDA in writing.
- All Awarding Body ‘Registration & Examination fees’ are to be paid to the administration at the same time as the student’s course fees. Please note: any student who does not wish to pay for their registration and/or examination fees at this point will not be considered for enrolment with SEDA.
- All students are required to complete a level test.
- By accepting an offer made by SEDA, through payment of the relevant fees stated at the time of initial application, a student enters into a contract with SEDA for the period for which those fees have been paid. This period is stated on the applicant’s enrolment letter, detailed from course commencement date through to course completion date.
- Due to the possibility of unforeseen circumstances during the semester, student timetables may change throughout the year. Every effort will be made in order to avoid such unexpected changes. Should a timetable change be necessary, SEDA would not be liable under any circumstances. No compensation or form of refund would be given in the event of a change.
- SEDA reserves the right to suspend or expel any student who does not fulfill their visa requirements. The same applies to behavioral disruption at the college. In both instances, no refund of fees will be given.
- Overseas students are reminded that they must comply with GNIB/ISD regulations. Further details are available either from the administration upon request or directly from the GNIB/ISD website.
- Where applicable, the student must seek and obtain a certificate of eligibility from the appropriate professional institute and pay the registration fee directly to the respective body.
- In order to adhere to GNIB/ISD and the Department of Education and Science guidelines, holders of a student visa are advised that SEDA is obliged to ensure that all full-time courses are delivered over a period of a minimum of 15 hours per week.
- * Students are required to attend all English classes, mock and final examinations and to submit written work as required by teachers.
