Programme and eligibility

SEDA College's 25-week General English course is available in Dublin and Cork, with new classes starting every Monday. The minimum age is 18. It provides 15 hours of English per week and classes have a maximum of 16 students. Ask the Academic Office for the current weekly timetable. Visa students are required to sit a recognised four-skills end-of-course exam. Trinity ISE is recognised by Irish immigration for this purpose; IELTS is also an exam option. Immigration is individual

Eligibility for immigration permission and its conditions depend on current Irish rules and individual circumstances. Check official Immigration Service Delivery guidance before making plans. SEDA cannot guarantee a visa or immigration outcome.

04

Weekly tuition

General English costs €190 per week in Dublin and €185 per week in Cork. Registration and course-materials fees are additional; request a written itemised quote before you book. The correct coursebook must be obtained within three weeks of starting, or within two weeks of a level change. Digital books may be used on a tablet or laptop, not a phone. If you do not have the book, you receive a formal warning and have one week to obtain it; after that, you cannot attend class without it.

05

Timetables and class changes

Every change starts with the Class Change Request Form.

Morning → Afternoon

  • Complete the Class Change Request Form.
  • If you paid for a morning class, your first move to the afternoon is free. If you later decide to move back to the morning, this is also free the first time.
  • Any further moves between morning and afternoon after this cost €100 for each change.

Afternoon → Morning

  • Complete the Class Change Request Form.
  • Where relevant, you pay the €400 fee before the move is approved.
  • Your Student Support or Marketing Agent confirms the request with the Academic Office.
  • Once confirmed and paid, the change takes effect on a Monday, and you receive an email with details of your new class.
