SEDA College Cookie Policy

Effective date: 14 October 2026 · Version: 1.2

Privacy Policy

This Cookie Policy explains the cookies and similar technologies used on seda.college, what they do, how long they last, and how you can accept, refuse or change your choice. Read it with our Privacy Policy at seda.college/privacy-policy.

1. Who is responsible

SEDA College is the trading name of SEDA (Skills & Enterprise Development Academy) Ltd, company registration number 462209. Our registered office is Zhivago Building, 68–72 Capel Street, Dublin 1, D01 AR29.

Our Data Protection Officer is Golam Sorwar. For questions about cookies or your personal data, email sorwar@seda.ie or write to the Data Protection Officer at our registered office.

2. What are cookies?

A cookie is a small file that your browser stores on your device when you visit a website. Cookies can keep a website working and secure, remember your choices and record how a website is used. This policy also covers similar technologies that store or read information on your device.

3. Types of cookies

Strictly necessary cookies remember your consent choice. They are not used for advertising and do not require consent under Regulation 5(5) of S.I. No. 336/2011.

Analytics cookies help us understand how the website is used. Google Analytics 4 and HubSpot tracking load only after you accept analytics cookies. Advertising tools remain disabled.

On your first visit, this site stores first-touch campaign parameters, click identifiers, referrer and landing-page URL in first-party local storage. Values are treated as expired after 180 days and cleared when you next visit. If you submit an enquiry, those values are attached to the enquiry and sent to HubSpot and our enquiry-routing service. This storage does not load third-party code.

First-party cookies are set for this website. Session cookies expire when the browser session ends; persistent cookies remain until their expiry date or until you delete them.

4. Your choices on our website

When you first visit seda.college, the banner lets you accept optional analytics, reject all non-essential cookies, or choose whether to enable analytics. Analytics is off by default.

Reject is shown at the same level and as clearly as Accept. Continuing to browse or scroll is not treated as consent.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing before you withdrew it.

We record your choice for up to six months and ask again by then, or sooner when the policy or tools change. Enquiry forms work without analytics consent.

Google Analytics 4 and HubSpot tracking are the optional measurement tools loaded after analytics consent. Google's information about its use of website data is at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. Cookie durations are maximum periods; your browser may delete them earlier.

The site is hosted on Replit. Form enquiries are stored on our website server and sent to HubSpot for CRM follow-up, to an n8n automation webhook, and by email through Resend with SendGrid as a fallback. These server-side enquiry services do not require analytics cookies and are described in our Privacy Policy.

6. Legal basis and retention

Necessary cookie processing supports our legitimate interest in providing a working website and respecting your choices (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Optional analytics processing is based on consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Regulation 5(3) of S.I. No. 336/2011).

The table above shows cookie lifetimes. Personal data retention is explained in section 8 of our Privacy Policy, including Google Analytics data for up to 14 months.

7. International transfers

Google and other service providers may process personal data outside the European Economic Area. Transfers use applicable GDPR safeguards, including adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses where appropriate, as explained in section 7 of our Privacy Policy. Ask our Data Protection Officer at sorwar@seda.ie for more information.

8. How to disable or delete cookies

You can use Cookie settings or your browser's settings to manage or delete cookies. Blocking necessary cookies can prevent the website from remembering your preferences.
