General Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to adult English courses at SEDA College in Dublin and Cork. SEDA College is operated by SEDA (Skills & Enterprise Development Academy) Ltd, company 462209, Zhivago Building, 68–72 Capel Street, Dublin 1, D01 AR29. Please read them, with the Course Refund Policy, before you pay. Effective 1 October 2026.

01

Booking and confirmation

Tell us your intended course start date when you register. Your place is confirmed when we receive your deposit and registration fee. Students who need a visa receive an official acceptance letter for their application; the booking keeps "Pre-booking" status until the visa is approved, and the course start date is confirmed after approval. Students must be 18 or over.

02

Fees and payment

Fees are those in your written offer and on the Fees page: €50 registration, €50 course materials, €250 deposit, balance due 14 days before arrival. Pay by card through Stripe (no additional charge), bank transfer, TransferMate or cash, through MySEDA, by email or through the website. Requests are processed once payment is confirmed.

03

Visa students

Apply for your visa 6–8 weeks before your course start date. Tell SEDA College immediately about the progress and outcome of your application. The College visa application fee is €350 and is non-refundable where it applies; visa re-application support is €100. Visa students must attend at least 85% of classes and sit an end-of-course exam.

04

Changes to your start date

Tell us about delays, visa refusals or start-date changes at least 14 days before your course starts. Changes notified in time are made without a fee and a visa student's booking stays "Pre-booking". If you tell us later, the booking becomes "Booking confirmed" and a €250 late-change fee applies.

05

No-shows

If you do not start your course and have not told us, you are treated as a no-show and no tuition refund is due. Rescheduling after a no-show costs 50% of the original tuition fee. A student who has not attended within two weeks of the start date is a no-show; after three weeks, expulsion applies, with a right of appeal, as set out in the Course Refund Policy.

06

Cancellations and refunds

Cancellations and refunds follow the Course Refund Policy. The standard €250 administration fee applies, except where SEDA cannot provide the course. Refund requests are made through your MySEDA account.

07

Timetables and class changes

Classes run in the morning or afternoon; depending on level and space you may be placed in an afternoon class. If you paid for a morning timetable, your first move to afternoons and first move back are free. Moving from an afternoon to a morning timetable costs €400.
