NAGA, the North American Grappling Association, is a giant in the world of grappling and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and earning a champion’s belt at their events is a true mark of skill and dedication.

Professor Mascarenhas’ commitment to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu extends far beyond the competition mat. SEDA College actively supports underprivileged young people and children in Brazil who train in Jiu-Jitsu. This social project aims to provide a powerful one-two punch: education and sporting opportunities.
By empowering these young individuals with both academic skills (including English language learning) and the discipline and focus that martial arts instil, the project helps them overcome challenges and build a brighter future. This initiative has already transformed the lives of over 300 young people, allowing them to compete internationally, pursue education, and improve their overall well-being.
