Ireland took home the prize of Europe’s Best Destination for Groups in the category at the 23rd edition of the Group Travel Awards in June in London. Emerald Isle got the first prize and was ahead of countries such as Germany, The Czech Republic and Switzerland.
The country was also competing in Europe’s best group attraction category with Guinness Storehouse but lost to Disneyland Paris. In total, the award elected winners in 26 categories.

The Group Travel Awards recognizes the best destinations, events, accommodations, transportation providers and attractions for the British travel industry. The result of the award is the compilation of votes from readers of GTO Magazine and Travel Grapevine Group, as well as five expert editors.
The award is promoted by Group Travel Organizer (GTO), a British portal and magazine focused on group travel.
