As well as the student visa we have talked about here many times, the Irish government offers other ways to immigrate to the country – which is a bit easier if compared to other countries around the world.

There are special visas for whoever is going to study another language, in the case of our students, but also visas for workers, interns, citizens and College students.

Accommodation

The main fear and cause of headaches to most of the students who have decided to come to Dublin. It is like there is a cloud of questions when the topic is how to find and rent a place to live here. Even though it is not the least bureaucratic problem to solve, it is easier than the terrible monster we create in our minds.

THE COURSE

Being an exchange student was never a synonym for only studying. This affirmation might sound strange, but it is the truth and anyone who has lived this experience, for a short or long period, will confirm it.

The course, for those who want to live here for at least 25 weeks (6 months) has a minimum of 15 hours per week. While you study you can also work part-time, 20 hours per week. However, when you have your holidays you can work full-time, 40 hours per week.

HOW TO GET THE GNIB (STUDENT VISA)

The process to get the student visa in Dublin usually makes the student feel nervous, but nowadays the system is easier than it used to be.

Now you can book your appointment online, instead of going to immigration really early to get your number and then spend the whole day there.
