SEDA Jobs club launch marked by a recruitment day

The project SEDA Jobs club was launched today by SEDA College with open day recruitment for the exchange students to register for a job vacancy. The company Independent is the first partner organisation to an event at the school, to mark the return of normal activities.

The format of open day recruitment is also going to be kept as a way to publicize the SEDA Jobs Club to students. The pioneering project, which works as a portal to publicize who wants to work and who has open job openings, was developed from the need to connect exchange students to the Irish job market more easily.

The responsible for the negotiation was Rafael dos Anjos, who says he is very optimistic about the launching of this project to exchange students. “Now we have a new way of looking for a job in Ireland! If the world is no longer the same, why looking for a job should be? All of our differentials certainly matter when our students choose SEDA, and innovative projects even more!”, explained Rafael.

Tiago Mascarenhas, SEDA College CEO, also talked about the launching: “This project is our proudest moment. We are the first school in Ireland to develop a program focused on jobs for students, and this initiative is open to all the exchange students from all the schools, so everyone can have this experience of finding a job that matches your qualifications.”, said Tiago.

The job openings cover the most different areas such as hotels, service, restaurants, etc. There will be jobs with different requirements, some with experience, but there are also openings for those who want to start from scratch.

Registration in the SEDA Jobs Club

The SEDA Jobs Club program will work for both SEDA students and students from other exchange schools. The difference is that the students of our school will have access to professional courses that will help when it comes to getting a job.

Students from SEDA and other exchange schools will be able to access the SEDA Jobs Club and apply for vacancies through the website. It is always good to remember that to work legally in Ireland, the student needs to hire the 25-week course, thus obtaining a work visa of 20 hours per week during the school period and 40 hours per week during the vacation period.
