Cristiane is our first student who got a job through our platform SEDA Jobs

Cristiane, SEDA College Student, just got a job with the support of our brand new platform SEDA Jobs Club.

She just arrived in Ireland, it’s been only 3 weeks, is studying on the upper intermediate level,  and got to know about the open day and the platform through his consultant Rafael, who presented the project to her. The exchange student said that it is pretty easy to access the SEDA Jobs Club platform: “the platform is very clear, easy and simple to use, I really enjoyed the experience.

She also explained how the interaction was with the company and the interview: “ the interviewer contacted me, asked for my CV and asked some preliminary questions by email. Later, Louise also asked some questions and we arranged the interview online. The interview was done through zoom and it was very pleasant. We talked a lot. Louise was a sweetheart. It made me feel calm and comfortable throughout. He asked questions and explained how the company works. After the interview, I was sent the appropriate forms to fill out.”

Caroline is going to start her new job, right now she’s training for her position.

Registration in the SEDA Jobs Club

The SEDA Jobs Club program will work for both SEDA students and students from other exchange schools. The difference is that the students of our school will have access to professional courses that will help when it comes to getting a job.

Students from SEDA and other exchange schools will be able to access the SEDA Jobs Club and apply for vacancies through the website. It is always good to remember that to work legally in Ireland, the student needs to take the 25-week course, thus obtaining a work visa of 20 hours per week during the school period and 40 hours per week during the vacation period.
