Immigration says there will be no extension after May 31

The immigration office – INIS- announced today on its official website that there will be no more extensions for English students legally residing in Ireland. The last one had been given until the 31st of May.

According to INIS, since the beginning of the pandemic, the Minister of Justice had announced 9 temporary extensions for English students, so every student who had a valid visa in March 2020, the beginning of the pandemic in the country, can legally remain in the country. Ireland until the end of this month.

To continue in the country, students have the option of entering a college, master’s or high diploma, which would be like a specialization in Brazil.
