One shining example is Erick Souza, a dedicated student, a valued member of the SEDA Team, and a skilled athlete from JSBJJ (Jorge Santos Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Academy). Erick recently made headlines by winning double gold at the Dublin International Open 2025, one of the most prestigious Jiu-Jitsu tournaments in Ireland.
A Champion On and Off the Mat
Erick competed in both Gi and No-Gi categories, securing gold medals in his weight division and the absolute category. What makes this victory even more impressive is that every single one of his matches ended in a submission – the ultimate way to win in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, where an opponent concedes defeat by tapping out.
