In the last week of April 2025, almost 60 students from SEDA College embarked on an unforgettable journey through Morocco, discovering the power of cultural immersion, adventure, and language learning beyond the classroom.
This unique study abroad experience in Morocco with SEDA College took our students across five cities in five nights, each destination offering a fresh taste of Moroccan tradition, hospitality, and vibrant landscapes. From bustling souks and historic medinas to the calm of the Sahara under a blanket of stars, the trip was a perfect blend of education and exploration.
A Journey of Cultural Discovery
At SEDA, we believe that real learning goes beyond textbooks. That’s why we regularly organise international trips, offering students the chance to see the world, practise new languages, and grow as global citizens.
Morocco delivered just that — a rich and rewarding environment where students could connect with locals, taste authentic cuisine, and learn firsthand about Arabic and Berber cultures. Cities like Marrakech, Casablanca, and Fes buzzed with energy, while the peaceful desert brought a humbling sense of wonder.
One of the most magical moments of the trip was undoubtedly our night in the Sahara Desert. After riding camels across golden dunes, our group settled into a traditional desert camp, enjoying music, stories, and a dinner under the stars. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that left everyone speechless — a memory that will stay with our students forever.
An Unexpected Twist: The Great Blackout
Every great adventure has a twist! On day one, just as our journey was about to begin, a mysterious blackout affected Portugal, Spain, and the south of France — including airport systems. Our flight was delayed for several hours, and we spent a long time waiting at Dublin Airport.
But SEDA students know how to make the best of every situation. There were laughs, bonding, and excitement in the air. Nothing could stop the spirit of discovery — and it made finally arriving in Morocco even sweeter.
