Ireland and Brazil have a lot of things in common: passion for food is one of them.

Taste of Brazil is located in Parliament Street, Dublin 2, bringing a bit of Latin cuisine into the Temple Bar area. It claims to be the first 100% Brazilian restaurant in Dublin, so it is a must go if you want to know a bit more about this interesting country or if you’re a Brazilian missing food from home.

A visit to this restaurant is not only about the food. The staff are all very friendly and welcoming – just as Brazilians are supposed to be. In the background you’ll always hear some nice Bossa Nova or MPB – Musica Popular Brasileira (Brazilian Popular Music).

The menu is composed of traditional dishes from different parts of Brazil, so if you are a homesick Brazilian dying to eat a delicious Feijoada or Bobó de Camarão this is the place to go!

And even though Brazilians are famous for their love of meat, the restaurant has a decent selection of vegetarian dishes like “Beringela a Moda da Casa” (Breaded slices of aubergine with braised vegetables, topped with homemade blue cheese sauce and served with rice and hand cut roasted potatoes).

The menu is very student-friendly as from Monday to Thursday Taste of Brazil offer some very good deals such as “Starter + Main course” for only 8,95 euro from 12pm to 6pm. Another bargain is their “Starter + Main course + Dessert” for 15,95 euro from 6pm till late.
