Preposition Class: It’s time to perfect your English

For some people, prepositions are one of the worst parts of the English learning process. That’s why we have managed to bring preposition class to the activities calendar this month. The demand was actually very high. The students were desperate for this. It’s good to mention that this class has nothing to do with Grammar Class. They are two different classes. Of course, it is part of the English grammar, but this is a separated class only to learn everything about prepositions.

In? On? At? Into? Confusing, isn’t it? So, teacher Remerson is bringing something very different to the classes. He is giving some examples of everyday situations that make learning prepositions easier. Situations related to space and time are basically the main focus, and at the end of the class, the students will practice by doing some exercises that will be very helpful in order to memorize all the rules. This kind of class is very important because people possibly make small mistakes that they don’t know that they do. Mistakes that keep them away from perfection.

Prepositions are actually so important that using the wrong one might change completely the meaning of the sentence. Examples like “I took the statue in the garden.” and “I took the statue into the garden.” In the first sentence, “in the garden” modifies statue, and specifies which statue you took. In the second, “into the garden” modifies “took”, and specifies where you took the statue. So my advice would be: learn how to use them properly so as not to get in confusing situations.

So, if you really want to perfect your English, it is pretty recommendable for you to attend to preposition class and practice as much as you can. This is a very good opportunity for you to get rid of the ghost that haunts English students: prepositions!

See you next time.
