March has just started and with it the various news of the activities calendar. Taking advantage of the fact that this month is St. Patrick’s month, we set up several activities to celebrate together this important date for Ireland. So Let’s take a look together at the calendar and we hope you enjoy the activities! Let’s celebrate St. Patrick’s month with SEDA.

History of Ireland Class

Do you fancy history classes? So this one is right for you. As a good exchange student in Ireland, learning about the country is never too much. In this class, a teacher will show the main landmarks in the history of the Emerald Isle, such as the revolutions and the wars for independence. It is worth checking because this class will be somehow connected to the week of Irish Cinema, which we will also have in SEDA this month.

Irish Class

I bet you have already come across words like Sráid, Baile Átha Cliath, Slántie, etc all around Ireland. Then this is the time for you to learn these and many other words, in SEDA’s mini-course of Irish. In this class, a teacher will give the students some basic expressions, some important greetings, and also will show how to pronounce some words. Don’t miss this opportunity! Come and learn the second official language of Ireland.

Acting Class

“To be or not to be, that is the question.” Have you ever thought about exploring your artistic skills and learning English at the same time? Don’t think anymore, because now the opportunity has been given. In this class, a teacher will work together with a student team to seek performer inside you. You won’t miss this opportunity, right? Go for it!

Irish Cinema

In St. Patrick’s month with SEDA you learn by watching movies, especially movies related to the history of Ireland. This Irish movie session is perfect for you. Especially in St Patrick’s Day week, we will have 5 days with films specifically aimed at telling the history of the country. Come, forward your seat on the couch and have fun with the options.

St. Patrick’s Party

Of course, we wouldn’t miss the chance to celebrate this important date for Ireland. Once again we will celebrate on March 15th at the Tramline Bar, starting at 8 pm. Bring your enthusiasm and let’s make together the best SEDA St Patrick’s Day party ever.

Pubs Tour

Let’s have a sesh all together? As you probably know, pubs are super traditional in Ireland. So what about having a tour to Dublin’s 5 coolest pubs and even learn a little bit about the history of these places? Come with us. We are sure you won’t regret it. Slántie!

Sign Language

In addition to the commitment to teaching with quality, SEDA also has the social responsibility of being inclusive. Because of this, this month we are having two classes focused on the sign language learning, within ISL (Irish Sign Language) standards. Take the opportunity to explore even more of your communicative side.

Irish culture Meet up

Don’t get confused! This is not a History of Ireland Class. In this class, you will learn a little more about the curiosities of this incredible country. A native teacher will bring some expressions of local English, will tell you a bit about folklore and typical dances and music, talk about the most famous foods, drinks and more. Come and learn even more about the country that opened the doors to your studies.

Art Workshop

We have already had this workshop last month, but this time our beloved art teacher will work upon the artistic icons of the Irish modern arts and will encourage the students to produce works focusing on symbols of Irish culture. Don’t miss this opportunity!

If you like to play bingo, this is your chance! Come on then some surprises await you. May the luck of the Irish be with you.
