As a family we care about your feelings! This lovely month we prepared wonderful activities for our students, here are some of them:

  1. SEDA Cinema and Irish film club

Just for you to make you feel that sigh for love… Gonomeo & Juliet, The theory of everything, Love happens and we also include the Irish film LEAP year! This one shows you many places around Ireland it is about a woman who heads to Ireland to ask her boyfriend to accept her wedding proposal on LEAP year when tradition supposedly holds that men cannot refuse a woman’s proposal for marriage.

2. Workshop LOVE CARDS

We helped our students to get ready for Valentine’s day with creative and colourful cards where they took the time to express their feelings to their loved ones. We decided to do it because there are a lot of reasons to send a card, it is more personal than receiving something from the internet, and it is emotional to see how people expressed themselves.

3. St. Valentine’s Party and dinner for 2!

We celebrated love in a traditional irish bar and we held a competition where our students needed to share a picture with the person who they wish to share a dinner with and why? The best story won a dinner in “The church bar” and tickets for cineworld.

4. Surviving Valentine’s Day.

Life Coaching workshop that walked attendees through the history of Valentine’s Day to better understand how this holiday came about as a way to take power away from it. Many people feel pressure to have a ‘perfect date’ with their other half, while others feel inferior because they don’t have a partner on this day. By understanding its origins and the marketing that helps create this pressure we can arm ourselves with tools to help us love ourselves and feel great every single day.Coping mechanisms and self-care techniques were explored. Cheer up and love yourself!

5. Post cards

During the month we placed a big red box at reception where our students put their love and friendship cards for their classmates, teachers and staff! The reactions were priceless, some students were happy, others were surprised with their secret lovers and others were a bit disappointed.
