Lucas Germano, completed his internship at Maldron Hotel Pearse Street.

“My internship at Maldron Hotel Pearse Street involved greeting and seating customers, taking orders, serving food and drinks. I also made coffee, tea, pulled pints of beer and prepared other drinks. Apart from that I worked in general customer service and helped keep the restaurant tidy and clean.

Maldron Hotel Pearse Street is a fairly big hotel and I passed all my time with my co-workers and other members of staff. I didn’t have much contact with management, but the other members of staff were very friendly and provided me all the help I needed and more! Overall I felt very welcome and never felt lack of support.

The internship was great! It was an amazing experience that I will remember forever. I learned lots of new vocabulary and new skills, such as working as a waiter and bartender, how to operate some machines and all the knowledge about restaurant and bar service. I feel confident about my English now.

Taking part in this internship programme corresponded to my expectations, and at the end of the internship the hotel offered me a paid job, so I was very happy with the experience.

Maldron Hotel Pearse Street is a great place to work and I strongly recommend it to other students.”
