The exchange program in Ireland also means venturing into a new language, since many students have never, or very little, studied English in their home countries. For this reason, learn more about the importance of having some student support in your native language<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As we mentioned above, many students arrive in Ireland at a basic level of English and sometimes with no English at all, that is to say, they are starting their studies from scratch.<\/p>\n

After arriving\u00a0here, the contact with the new language is already happening, for example, at the airport, when they go to a pub\u00a0or to a shop. However, many students feel lost and with no confidence to ask for information when they need it.<\/p>\n

It’s good to point out that even with this support, it’s extremely necessary to practice English as much as possible. It’s necessary to lose the fear that usually holds people back when it comes to speaking English. And also the fear\u00a0of making mistakes, which is very common when learning a new language.<\/p>\n

The support in your mother tongue works like a bridge between students and school for things like rules and other topics that can be approached without problems. This support will encourage students to do things by themselves and therefore practice their English.<\/p>\n
