Its collection has approximately 10.000 works, including famous paintings and also sculptures, drawings, and prints of artists such as Rembrandt, Diego Velazquez, and the father of impressionism Claude Monet. This is Dublin’s most famous modern art gallery. Actually Hugh Lane is regarded as the first known public gallery of modern art in the world. Its collection includes works of artists such as Edgar Degas, Berthe Morisot, and\u00a0Pierre-Auguste Renoir. The gallery also hosts Francis Bacon’s famous studio that is now permanently on display.
