{"id":17821,"date":"2026-02-16T15:24:57","date_gmt":"2026-02-16T15:24:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.seda.college\/?p=17821"},"modified":"2026-02-16T15:24:57","modified_gmt":"2026-02-16T15:24:57","slug":"young-athlete-sponsored-by-seda-wins-title-and-aims-for-the-european-kids-jiu-jitsu-championship","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/seda.college\/blog\/en\/young-athlete-sponsored-by-seda-wins-title-and-aims-for-the-european-kids-jiu-jitsu-championship\/","title":{"rendered":"Young athlete sponsored by SEDA wins title and aims for the European Kids Jiu-Jitsu Championship"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">SEDA College celebrates another inspiring achievement from one of the young athletes it supports.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Artur Coelho, just 13 years old and a yellow belt in Jiu-Jitsu, had an outstanding performance in his most recent competition, demonstrating talent, discipline, and great progress in the sport.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Representing the Maze BJJ academy in Athlone, Artur starred in an impressive campaign that reinforces the potential of the new generation of Jiu-Jitsu.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dominant campaign with five submissions<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The athlete competed in six fights throughout the championship and won five victories by submission, demonstrating not only technical preparation but also control and strategy during the fights.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All victories occurred after takedowns followed by submissions, showing a complete performance both standing and on the ground \u2014 an important differential for athletes in training.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The results were distributed between two modalities:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Three victories in the kimono (Gi);<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Two wins in No-Gi.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to five submissions, Artur suffered only one loss by points, ending the championship with an extremely solid performance.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Title in the No-Gi division<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The highlight of the competition was winning the title in his division in the No-Gi category, a result that represents an important step in the athlete&#8217;s career.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The victory reinforces the consistency of training and the daily commitment to the sport, fundamental values \u200b\u200bfor the development of young athletes. &#8220;I am very happy to be crowned champion of my No-Gi division,&#8221; commented Artur after the competition.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A dream that started at home<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Artur&#8217;s story with Jiu-Jitsu began early. He has been training for 10 years and started his journey training at home with his own father. Today, he continues to evolve under the guidance of the Maze BJJ team, an academy led by his family.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This trajectory built since childhood shows how the sport can develop discipline, confidence and perseverance from an early age.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Focus on the European Kids Championship in April<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After the achievement, the athlete already has a new goal defined: the European Kids Championship, which will take place in April. Preparation has already begun, and the focus is now entirely on this next international competition.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Artur made a point of thanking everyone for the support he received throughout his journey: \u201cI am very focused on the European Kids Championship now.
