For the third consecutive year, SEDA College had the honour of marching in the world-renowned St. Patrick\u2019s Parade in Dublin! This was an incredible milestone for us as the only English language school<\/strong> participating in the event\u2014a true testament to the vibrant and diverse community we\u2019ve built at SEDA.<\/p>\n

The St. Patrick\u2019s Parade: A Global Celebration<\/h2>\n

Every year, Dublin comes alive on 17th March<\/strong> as thousands gather to celebrate Ireland\u2019s national holiday with the spectacular St. Patrick\u2019s Parade<\/strong>. The event, a centrepiece of the St. Patrick\u2019s Festival, brings together an extraordinary mix of music, culture, and performance, with over 4,000 participants from across the globe<\/strong>. This year\u2019s parade featured 12 marching bands<\/strong> from Ireland, North America, and Austria, as well as dazzling floats, cultural groups, and members of An Garda S\u00edoch\u00e1na, the Irish Coast Guard, and Dublin Zoo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

People lined the streets from early morning, dressed in green and waving the tricolour, eagerly awaiting the parade\u2019s start at 12pm<\/strong>. The atmosphere was electric, with a mix of tradition, creativity, and celebration filling Dublin\u2019s city centre.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Adventure of Love\u201d \u2013 Our 2025 Theme<\/h2>\n

This year\u2019s parade theme was \u201cAdventure\u201d<\/strong> (or \u201cEachtra\u00ed\u201d<\/strong> in Irish), encouraging participants to showcase bold and inspiring journeys. In keeping with this theme, SEDA College partnered with Outhouse \u2013 LGBTQ+<\/strong> to present \u201cThe Adventure of Love\u201d<\/strong>, celebrating the diversity, unity, and strength of our student community.<\/p>\n

Our float and marching group embodied the spirit of adventure in love, inclusivity, and self-discovery. From dazzling costumes to uplifting messages of acceptance, we proudly spread a message of unity and belonging, making our mark as a truly international and welcoming college.<\/p>\n

An Unforgettable Experience<\/h2>\n

Participating in this iconic event is always a highlight of our year, and 2025 was no exception. Our students and staff put their hearts into making this moment unforgettable. From months of preparation to the final march down O\u2019Connell Street, the energy, enthusiasm, and teamwork were extraordinary.<\/p>\n

A huge thank you<\/strong> to all our students and staff who made this possible, as well as to everyone who came out to cheer us on. Your support and passion inspire us to continue breaking barriers and celebrating cultural diversity in Ireland.<\/p>\n

As we look back on this incredible achievement, we are already dreaming about what\u2019s next for SEDA College in 2026. Stay tuned and keep embracing the adventure!<\/p>\n
