His story is inspiring, his teaching style is dynamic, and his enthusiasm for helping students achieve their dreams is unmatched. Let\u2019s dive into S\u00e9rgio\u2019s journey!<\/p>\n

From Car Washer to Teacher Extraordinaire<\/h3>\n

S\u00e9rgio\u2019s career path has been anything but ordinary. Over the years, he\u2019s worn many hats\u2014from car washer to probation officer. But it was his love for languages and a pivotal exchange programme in Canada that set him on the path to teaching English. Upon his return to Brazil, S\u00e9rgio found himself immersed in the world of language education, where he discovered his true calling.<\/p>\n

\u201cI already liked this universe of speaking other languages,\u201d<\/em> he explains. \u201cAfter my exchange programme, so many fantastic doors opened, and I became an English teacher.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Joining the SEDA College Family<\/h3>\n

S\u00e9rgio\u2019s connection with SEDA College began when he inquired about the Trinity CertTESOL course. Shortly after, he became a cover teacher, and, as he puts it, \u201cvoil\u00e0\u201d\u2014a new chapter in his teaching career began. Today, S\u00e9rgio is a full-time teacher in Dublin and plays a key role in the Junior Summer Programme in Galway.<\/p>\n

He\u2019s quick to highlight the diverse and supportive environment at SEDA: \u201cSince I started here, I continue to learn more and more from everyone around me: students and staff.\u201d<\/p>\n

For S\u00e9rgio, teaching English isn\u2019t just about grammar and vocabulary\u2014it\u2019s about building bridges to students\u2019 dreams. \u201cWe deal with the responsibilities and dreams brought by students from different parts of the globe,\u201d he shares. \u201cThrough teaching the language, we help them build the bridge that leads to making their dreams come true.\u201d<\/p>\n

One of his most gratifying moments as a teacher is seeing students succeed. Whether it\u2019s passing a job interview or thriving in a new occupation, these achievements fuel his passion for education.<\/p>\n
