Today, as we celebrate our planet, we’re excited to announce a new initiative at SEDA College: The Leave No Trace<\/strong> campaign! This program aligns perfectly with our commitment to sustainability and keeping our campuses clean and green.<\/p>\n

What does “Leave No Trace” mean at SEDA?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

You might have noticed a recent change \u2013 we’ve removed food waste bins from the classrooms. This is part of the Leave No Trace philosophy. Here’s how it works:<\/p>\n

  • Food in Classrooms:<\/strong> As a reminder, eating food in classrooms is not allowed. This helps maintain a distraction-free and clean learning environment.<\/li>\n
  • Designated Eating Area<\/strong>: Enjoy your meals and snacks in the designated Student Lounge, where you can relax and socialize with your classmates.<\/li>\n
  • Take Your Rubbish:<\/strong> Following the “Leave No Trace” principle, we kindly ask you to take all your rubbish, including food wrappers and containers, with you when you leave the classroom.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Why are we doing this?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    There are two main reasons:<\/p>\n

    • Sustainability:<\/strong> Every piece of rubbish disposed of improperly has an impact on the environment. By taking your waste home, you can ensure it’s disposed of responsibly.<\/li>\n
    • Cleanliness:<\/strong> A clean and tidy learning environment fosters better focus and a more enjoyable experience for everyone.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      A greener SEDA, with a digital twist!<\/strong><\/h3>\n

      We’re committed to reducing our paper footprint too!<\/strong> That’s why, instead of printed posters, you’ll see announcements like this one displayed on our new digital screens around Dublin campus.<\/p>\n

      By working together<\/strong>, we can create a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable SEDA College. Thank you for being a part of this positive change!<\/p>\n
