Ah, Sunday in the park in Dublin\u2026 how nice it is to have fun on summer days in the capital of the charming and pleasant Emerald Isle.<\/span><\/p>\n

Options abound. There are some places that everyone knows, but there are also those that are less talked about by people.<\/span><\/p>\n

Regardless of your choice, you can have a lot of fun in the city, with Sundays that will forever be etched in your memory. And in this article, we will talk a little more about each of these attractions.<\/span><\/p>\n

National Botanic Gardens<\/span><\/p>\n

An extremely pleasant place to spend Sundays is the National Botanic Gardens in Dublin. It is located 5 km northwest of the city centre and was founded in 1795.<\/span><\/p>\n

Admission is free, and in addition to spending a pleasant Sunday, you will learn a little more about botany. Just to illustrate, the National Herbarium is also installed there.<\/span><\/p>\n

And the museum’s collection contains approximately 20,000 samples of plant products, including fruits, seeds, woods, fibres, plant extracts and artefacts.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sunday at the Park in Dublin: Marlay Park<\/span><\/p>\n

Marlay Park is another excellent place which is about 9 km away from the centre of Dublin. The place has woods, ponds and walks that will make your day even more special.<\/span><\/p>\n

Just to give you an idea, recreational spaces include a golf course, tennis courts, soccer fields, a dog park and even two playgrounds.<\/span><\/p>\n

The park currently occupies part of Marlay’s original territory which has its origins dating back to the 18th century. And with its natural beauty, you will have a very pleasant day.<\/span><\/p>\n

Iveagh Gardens<\/span><\/p>\n

Another tourist spot that will make your Sunday in the park in Dublin unforgettable is Iveagh Gardens. It is located between Clonmel Street and Upper Hatch Street, close to the National Concert Hall in Dublin.<\/span><\/p>\n

The site is a National Historic Landmark, and the gardens are surrounded by buildings which makes it less visible and completely difficult to find.<\/span><\/p>\n

One of the aspects that draw attention is the waterfall that flows over a huge rock, with rocks from each of Ireland’s 32 counties.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fairview Park<\/span><\/p>\n

Fairview Park is north of Dublin city and is a very interesting place to spend Sundays. It has seasonal flower displays, soccer fields and a large playground.<\/span><\/p>\n

Because it has so many attractions, it is a very good place to spend the day, practise some sports, or even spend time with the family that we love.<\/span><\/p>\n

As you can see, Dublin is much more than a cosmopolitan city and offers attractions for all tastes. And walking in the city parks is really making your Sunday even more special.<\/span><\/p>\n
