April with SEDA: enjoy springtime with us

After one month of celebrations with many activities extolling St. Patrick’s Day and the Irish culture, April with SEDA comes full of news and brings with it the spring vibe and the various activities for our students. In addition to the traditional extra activities such as conversation classes, grammar classes, pronunciation classes, as well as preparation classes for external exams such as IELTS, PET, FCE, the calendar of this month brings yoga, fit dance, Chinese class and so many more. Check out below:

Easter Eggs Workshop: SEDA couldn’t let this important date passes by. For this reason, we will have our Easter Eggs Workshop, on Tuesday 10th, at 4:30 pm in the Lounge, where a professional will teach the students how to make delicious Easter chocolate eggs. In addition to being interactive and very tasty, the students will practice their English, learning a little bit more of the specific vocabulary of chocolate and Easter.

Discussing Inequality: Gender inequality, female empowerment, domestic violence are very relevant issues nowadays. For this reason, we have decided to bring a debate on these and many other related issues. This conversation will take place in room 01, on 11th of April at 4:30 pm. Don’t miss out this opportunity!

Acting Class: Due to success and to keep up with the sequence of last month’s classes, Acting Class is back and full of new games and training. This time our students, along with the team of theater professionals, are preparing for something even bigger. So don’t wait any longer. Explore your talent for the arts and come to enjoy this incredible opportunity to learn English in a simple and didactic way. This time in room 03, every Friday of the month of April at 4:30 pm. We are waiting for you!

Serve the City Meet-up: This time the students won’t go to the volunteer work. They will come to the students. A representant of NGO Serve the City, in charge of organizing volunteer works in partnership with SEDA, will come to the school to talk to the students about the importance of the volunteer programs and also the possibility of becoming leaders of the next projects. This meeting will take place on the 13th, in room 01 at 4:30 pm.

Yoga Class: The benefits of practicing yoga for body and mind are diverse. It improves flexibility and circulation, improves posture, prevents joint pain, among many others. As the students’ lives here are an eternal rush, stress with tests, daily chores, employment, ends up having direct consequences on the body. Because of this, we will have two yoga classes to put the students’ mood up and in the astral to make things a little quieter. The classes will take place on the 18th and 25th of this month, in room 01 at 4:30 pm. Come and enjoy the opportunity to know your interior.

International Business Workshop: If you like business, economy, and negotiation, this workshop is right for you. An economist will teach the students fundamental concepts of international economics and will give finance and investment tips too. This workshop is crucial to understanding the current economic outlook. It will happen on the 17th, room 14, at 4:30 pm.

Waiter/Waitress course: Just like the barista course, the students will have the possibility to learn in theory and also in practice everything about the course for waiters/waitress. This is a great opportunity to further enhance and compete for the many job opportunities that Dublin offers. The course will take place on the 24th, at 4:30 pm, room 14 and costs € 25.

Fit Dance Class: Warmer seasons are coming and SEDA is getting ready for it. For this reason, we are offering our students Fit Dance classes so that we can already enter in the vibe of the highest temperatures. In this class, the students will follow the instructions of a teacher who will encourage them to dance festive songs full of rhythms. Don’t miss out on this chance to get ready for the hottest season. Room 01 at 4:30 p.m.

Chinese Class: The Chinese language is full of history and peculiarities, and today it is one of the three most spoken languages in the world. To celebrate the richness of this ancient language, we will have a class exclusively dedicated to learning Chinese. April 30th, room 14 at 16:30 pm. See you! Zài jiàn!

Business Simulation Game: As promised at the last Bingo Day, every month we will have games to finish the activities month. In April with SEDA, we will have a game that will encourage students to think as if they have to set up a business and run it. The main purpose is to place the students in situations that require leadership and organization. It will happen on the 30th, at 4:30 pm, in room 01. Don’t miss this chance!
