NATIONAL GALLERY OF IRELAND:

This gallery brings only works of famous European and Irish artists. Its collection has approximately 10.000 works, including famous paintings and also sculptures, drawings, and prints of artists such as Rembrandt, Diego Velazquez, and the father of impressionism Claude Monet. Opening hours: From Monday to Saturday, the gallery opens at 9:15 am and closes at 5:30 pm. On Sunday it opens at 11 am and closes at the same time.

DUBLIN CITY GALLERY – THE HUGH LANE:

This is Dublin’s most famous modern art gallery. Actually Hugh Lane is regarded as the first known public gallery of modern art in the world. Its collection includes works of artists such as Edgar Degas, Berthe Morisot, and Pierre-Auguste Renoir. The gallery also hosts Francis Bacon’s famous studio that is now permanently on display. Opening hours: From Tuesday to Thursday, the gallery opens at 9:45 am and closes at 6 pm. On Friday it opens at 9:45 am and closes at 5 pm. On Saturday it opens at 40 am and closes at 5 pm. And finally on Sunday it opens at 11 am and closes at 5 pm.

IRISH MUSEUM OF MODERN ART:

This is home for the Irish national collection. The museum – as the name says – brings works of modern and contemporary artists. It has more than 3.500 artworks of Irish and also international artists. Its collection has names such as Janet Mullarney, Gerard Byrne, Lucian Freud among others. Check by clicking here.
